Emily Becker brings more than a decade of experience in education, leadership, and community coordination to her role at The Lamb Center. Her background includes classroom instruction, curriculum-adjacent leadership, and mentorship, giving her a strong foundation in organization, communication, and stakeholder coordination. 

As Executive Assistant at The Lamb Center, Emily provides administrative and strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer. She supports day-to-day operations and helps coordinate the work of staff, the Board, and community partners. Her organizational skills and service-minded approach contribute to the smooth functioning of programs that serve individuals experiencing homelessness.   

Before joining The Lamb Center, Emily taught middle and high school English for ten years. During that time, she chaired her grade-level teaching team for most of her tenure, led professional development trainings for her county, and mentored new teachers through year-long seminars. She also provided high-impact literacy tutoring and homebound instruction for students unable to attend school due to illness or other obstacles. Emily’s connection to homelessness services runs deep. Her father-in-law was closely involved with Unity Health Care at the Community for Creative Non-Violence (CCNV) shelter in Washington, D.C., and her family continues an annual supply drive in his honor. 

Emily earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in English Education from the University of Georgia. She brings a service mindset and genuine care for both colleagues and guests to her work at The Lamb Center.
