Pastoral Director

• Email

Dave Larrabee was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and has been with The Lamb Center since February 19, 1999, serving in various capacities over more than two decades.

Dave was hired as Pastoral Assistant in 2003 to launch the Saturday ministry, and in 2004 became Director of the daily operations of that ministry. He has been called by the Metropolitan Washington D.C. Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America to serve as a Deacon at The Lamb Center. Dave has been clean and sober since January 23, 2001, a milestone he openly shares as part of his story and ministry.

Before joining The Lamb Center, Dave worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce from 1985 to 2000 and served 20 years in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. Dave holds a B.A. in Political Science and German from Utah State University and an M.A. in Russian and East European Studies from George Washington University. In May 2016, he graduated from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg’s MAMS Diaconal Ministry program.

Dave is a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Vienna. His decades of military, federal, and ministry experience, along with his personal journey of recovery, bring a steady, seasoned perspective to his pastoral work with The Lamb Center’s guests.
