Mark grew up in Fairfax, VA, and loves being involved with the local community. He earned a BA in Communications and a BA in Classical Studies at the College of Charleston. After Mark graduated, he was inspired to begin living and working overseas for an educational nonprofit organization located in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Mark spent 12 years expanding access to educational programs for young English learners at a private bilingual international school as an Advisor to Foreign English Teachers. In 2022, Mark moved back to America and came to The Lamb Center as the Volunteer Manager, transitioning to the role of Operations Supervisor in 2023. He and his wife, Pen, attend Fairfax United Methodist Church.
