Carl Santillo worked in the financial services industry for 30 years working initially as an actuary and later in senior management and as the chief financial officer of a major corporation. His education and credentials include a BS from Harvey Mudd College, an MA from State University of New York in physics, Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries, Stanford Executive Program in Organizational Change, and Registered Securities Principal. After leaving corporate life 25 years ago and moving to Northern Virginia, he became active in the non-profit space while self-employed as a financial consultant. His consulting work included work on securities class-action litigation and providing expert witness testimony before the SEC. His nonprofit work included board and leadership positions with Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia, Goodwill of Greater Washington, Fuller Center Disaster Rebuilders, Alexandria Seaport Foundation, and Our Stomping Ground. He has also served as a financial consultant to several other non-profit organizations. He and his wife Jeanine are members of the Church of the Good Shepherd. They have been married for more than 50 years and enjoy time with their three children and 12 grandchildren.
